Beating the Heat

The heat of the sun is up this season.  To battle the hot weather many people are headed off to hit their travel destination which is the beach.  Packing is one of the one of the troublesome task we have to accomplish. We usually over pack clothes to make sure that we have a lot of alternatives instead we end up carrying quite a number of baggages.

To have a wardrobe blast in the beach here are the essentials. For the basic swimwear in the beach you can bring a couple of swimsuit. There are a lot of options nowadays. Aside from the basic string bikini that fits any figure tankinis, bandeau and one piece suit are also in. One piece suits with cut outs can accentuate your curves. Boy shorts type of swimsuit is not that flattering since it cuts out your leg; they usually look good for those with long legs.  You can also wear a nice cover up while taking a walk on the shore. For your protection a hat and shades help you from the glare of the sun. Sunblocks with at least SPF 15 or higher can shield your skin from direct exposure from UV rays. If you plan to have a dinner or drink during the night a flirty dress or a shorts and tank top coupled with a beaded necklace and bracelet can complete your summer night out look.  Because of the hot weather light colours and cotton fabrics are preferably worn. With all these in hand you can now happily relax in the coast with ease and style.

Wardrobe Junkie

Today is a boring day. I have the day off and have no appointments so I decided on cleaning my house to keep myself busy. I ended up rummaging my room and I discovered that there this so much pile of clothes which I have not worn for a while. As what Sarah Jessica Parker and her friends did in the sex and the city movie I also started to sort out my wardrobe. Since the trends are coming back I might as well save all those which are still wearable. High waist skirts, shorts and pants are hot nowadays; you can match them with any top from buttoned to plain tank tops and accessorize them with a belt. Military jackets, boyfriend shirt and jackets, printed pants, jumpsuits, playsuits and rompers are also part of the fad. For some of the pieces I used my resourcefulness. With a pair of scissors, pins and needles, sequins, buttons and fabric I used my artistic ability to redecorate my clothes to make them look like new. I also decided to cut my worn out pants and turn them into ragged shorts. In this way I can stay with the hottest trend without pulling anything out of my pocket and just shopping through my own wardrobe.
